Stuck indoors again I am! This post is from a while back, I thrifted this cobalt blue blazer a few weeks ago and added it to the shop but decided to borrow it for a day. It is perfect for layering and is so comfy. I had this silk blouse for a while now, I guess I never really got around to remixing it on my blog, I really like the vintage ladies. I mixed it up with a beat up denim skirt and black opaque tights since it is freezing cold over here in Montreal.
I am getting ready for Montreal Fashion week, it starts next Monday, I am pretty excited to be attending 2 days of it. I will meeting up with some fellow Quebec bloggers like Virginie of Virginie's Cinema and Fashionista 514, I can't wait this is going to be a blast. I will be posting pictures everyday of my days so stay tuned!

My Week in Instagram!

Well it has been a few weeks since my last Instagram post, I collected quite a few interesting snap shots, we got lots of snow here in Montreal. I have been spending way to much time indoors like every Winter. The plateau Mount Royal looks like something from an old French film, the old brick houses and long stair cases.

Here is a sneak of what we both wore and into Stéphane's closet, he is a very colorful and neat man ;)

Stéphane took me out for some tasty bagels at St-Viateur bagels and macaroon's at Point G, we then went record shopping as usual :)

Here are a few vintage finds, the floral trench coat is actually a find from today, It is pretty crazy! I am thinking of shortening it.

I came up with a new idea for business cards for my shop, I found a whole bunch of colorful doilies, these are perfect!

I woke up this morning to a very cold sad day, all the sidewalks are frozen and did I say it is freaking cold up here in Montreal? hehe. I gave the coat layering trend a go today, it was perfect, who ever came up with this genius idea was thinking about us stylish Canadians ;) I have had this vintage coat for a few years now, I decided to hem it into a short jacket, I am so happy with the end product, this is my new favorite coat now. It was fun looking inside and seeing how they made it, this takes thrifting to an other level a creative one ;)

While shooting in my regular Winter alley this girl walked by and asked me randomly are you a photographer? and then said Are you a model? I said no, and no, and the random person walked away, I actually have a picture of the girl talking to me, so silly! Gotta love living in the city.

I can't wait for Spring, I may have to shorten all my longer vintage coats now, I love how it can make them look more now and up to date.

Friday's favorite thrift finds

Happy Friday folks! Here is my second edition of "Friday's favorite thrift finds", in this first picture you can see my new favorite bold pattern sweater that I got for a steal at 2$. This picture was taken in my bathroom, on the side you can see a row of vintage blouses that were hang drying, those are going in the shop next week. I always wash everything that goes in my shop since I have to keep all this vintage treasure in my own home.

I cheated a bit here, this necklace is actually an Etsy purchase, I got it from this lovely shop called I find U seek vintage, they have such a great selection of pieces from all sorts of era's, this is a 1940s gold fill celluloid necklace that is reversible and I got it for 15$. You guys should really check them out :)

I am in love with this dress, it's a full maxi right now but I plan on giving it a shorter hem and wearing it once Spring comes around.

This sweater is actually one of my mom's finds from Monday, I am so jealous! a purple angora tassel cardigan? wow!

I fell in love with this Sandro sailor body suit, this is gonna look great with vintage Levis ;)

I found a really nice pair of vintage 501's, this is also very rare, I have been getting all sorts of vintage denim luck lately.

The perfect suede hair bow, it actually holds in my hair.

And last but not least a pretty amazing pair of buckle oxfords, these are going to get worn a lot once all the snow melts ;)

Statement sweater

It sure has been hard to take outfit pictures these days, I got one decent shot outside, I spent 2 minutes out there slipping on ice and trying to get the proper white balance and decided I would rather stay alive and take this party indoors.

I came across this bold black and white printed sweater earlier this week, I like it paired with my vintage Chanel skirt, the color mix and pattern clash just works so great together, well I think so ;)

Out and about in Montreal East

Yesterday I met up with my mom for a weekly thrift adventure. I always love going in her neck of the woods, the thrift is so good. We me up at the underbelly of the Olympic stadium, I kind of got frustrated with my new lens and we gave up shooting there and head off to our local favorite thrift spots.

I really like the big open spaces, I plan on going back when it gets warmer and taking some decent pictures.

My mom scored this vintage pear pin for 0.50$ at her local charity shop, I want it so bad!

Mom was wearing a pretty amazingly colorful outfit, I am not quite sure were everything is from but mostly thrifted, you should see her closet! I was wearing some new orange satin pants I picked up at H&M on sale for 15$, I almost got them when they were full price, I am glad I waited :) My navy pea coat is also from H&M, Spring wedge boots remixed, forever 21 cable knit sweater, thrifted denim shirt, very old Gap leather purse, vintage pink suede hair bow and Harricana fur ear muffs.

I came back home with a very heavy bag full of new goodies for the shop and for myself, I can't wait to share with you all later this week!

Chambray and Denim

Well it sure was a pretty busy weekend, working and taking care of wedding business, it sure is stressful thinking of putting a bunch of people together in one place for a day,it really scares me a bit. How did you guys deal with it?

So last week I came across these vintage Levis, the color is odd and so it the cut, I think these are the female version of 501's. I love how vintage Levis hit the waist in the perfect spot, I always look great in them, they really do not make jeans like they use to. I paired it with my favorite chambray blouse and added a fun touch with this vintage 60s gold and coral necklace I got in Toronto last Summer.

I am off to meet up with my mom now, we have a big day of thrifting and photo taking ahead of us :)

Friday's favorite thrift finds

Bonjour folks! Today I am starting a new type of post, featuring vintage items I have found while shopping for my shop. Sometimes I come across things that I just have to keep for myself and these are them this week. I hope you all enjoy this post, my favorite has to be the glasses pouch, I can actually fit two pairs in there, my prescriptions ones and my shades. On top here you can see a bright yellow 60s cardigan, I love it paired with my cat printed cream blouse, it is like they were made for each other.

I rarely come across vintage Levis in this town, I found these mystery ones the other day, they fit like 501's but they have a zipper instead of buttons. I wonder what model these were. I remixed these in an outfit post yesterday that I will share with you all tomorrow :)

I am in awe over this black cardigan, the label indicates that it comes from France, I just love those French pieces they have a certain flare to them that you don't get from regular clothing. I love the peter pan collar trompe l'oeil detail on the front.

This necklace makes me smile, I like that the color is neutral so it goes perfect with any colorful collared blouse. I got this for a steal I believe 0.50$

I am in love with this vintage Lucite monochrome chain necklace, I still have not worn it but I have big plans for it.

These shoes! I love them, they are Italian made all leather, super soft and look like a Ferragamo cut but with a 60s mod vibe. Again I have big plans for these once it shoes weather time again.

and finally, this Lucite hair bow clip, it is the perfect little barette to go in an up doo. I can fit my super thick hair in this one for a change.

Pink and Grey

The other I came up with an outfit with pieces in my wardrobe that have been there for a long time and mixed it with a new item. This is something I am trying to do more and more now a days. I like the challenge of mixing new and old. The new item in question is this pink ruffle collar tee. I picked it up for a deal at 7$ from H&M, I think I will be remixing this tee a lot around these parts. It looks great paired with any neutral color. The jumper I have had for a few years now, I like the peek a boo detail on the back and the length.

On an other note I read something really disturbing online this morning about this new law they want to pass in the US called SOPA and PIPA. I read about this over at the Calivintage blog, I am so glad she blogged about this, it is actually pretty scary. I am pretty freaked out being a small business owner online, this could mean the loss of it. Please pass this information around even if you are not American this will affect us all down the road if the laws are passed.

Palais des Congrès

Yesterday I met up with my very stylish mom in the old Montreal area, I had some wedding planning to do. We decided to take some pics in one of my favorite spots in the city, Palais ded congrès, they have all sorts of trade shows here, my favorite part is the architecture. It also helps that the place is colorful and mod inspired.

This is my mom Arianne, she blogs over at Style Montreal Sud-Est, if you have not checked out her blog you should now ;) My mom really likes to mix new with vintage, she always has something up her sleeve. I am pretty lucky to have a common interest with her.

Mom has the best accessories, I want that belt badly! I may have to go raid her closet soon ;)

Inside my Room and Closet

I ended up getting Stéphane to take some decent outfit pictures of me yesterday. We shot inside since it is still to freaking cold to shoot outside. On the weekend it was -29 degree Celsius or something crazy like that. What I wear outdoors is really not that interesting but once those Winter layers come off I always have something to make up for.

We shot in our room and in my closet, as you can see I have quite the shoe obsession, I can't wait for Summer so I can wear those nude soft leather peep toe sling backs, I made the shoe laces myself last year with some lace and bits from a fabric store on St-Hubert, I should totally do a tutorial on these!

I still can't get over my luck last week while thrifting, I found this Marc by Marc Jacobs dress laying around on the dress section. The cut out detail is so interesting and I love what is going on at the waist, very flattering. I think my most favorite part of the dress is that the sleeves are raglan, this was my favorite sleeve to make in pattern making class when I was in school. It makes movement so much easier and more comfortable.

I paired it with some bright colorful tights and more neutral colored shoes, I got these shoes 4 years ago and they are still going strong, I don't think I will ever get tired of them. Well today is the start of an other week cold snowy week here in Montreal, I am gonna meet up with my mom and snap a few pics around Palais des Congrès. Have a nice week everyone!

Juliette blouse remixed

I played around with my new lens again this morning before going to work, the morning sun was so pretty and fresh snow was on the ground. I love how snow works as a natural diffuser.

I had this stretch lace cropped top in my shop for a while now and decided to wear the one I kept for myself, I want to make a few tweaks in the design and bring it back for Spring, I really like how it looks over a cream blouse with a peter pan collar, it is like they were made for each other.

I should get these blouses out in the next few weeks and ready for the shop, I want to make the neck line less open and the sleeve cap a bit higher on the shoulder and add a bit of volume. What do you guys think?

My Week in Instagram!

It has been a few weeks since my last Instagram pictorial, things got a little crazy with work and my Etsy shop. Here is a little collection of bits of my past few weeks, movie watching, outfits, shoes and thrift adventures. I watched a really good French film with Audrey Tautou called De vrais mensonges in English it is Beautiful lies, a really cute story in rural France, Audrey plays the role a hair salon owner and her handy man send her secret love letters. The story gets a little crazy and funny, I won't tell you everything about the film but it really is a good Saturday night movie.

I came across an Expo 67 smock jacket the other day, I had to leave it behind because it had a huge black spot but the tag was pretty amazing.

As I was saying before work was crazy, we are such troopers, especially my friend Sarah with the orange toque, that's her lovely mom who came is to help us, I don't think we could have done it without her :) Thanks Sarah for all the help!

Stéphane and I hit up downtown once again, there was some killer sales, I scored that amazing varsity cardigan for La maison Simons.

Well we just got hit with a huge snow storm, I am so glad we do not have a car, have a great week everyone!

I finally got around to getting that new lens I was dreaming about and took a few pictures this afternoon of what I was wearing. My camera decided to stop focusing outside since it is really sensitive to cold temperatures so I took it inside. I am kind of glad because I was able to show you all what I wear indoors in Winter and outdoors I guess you could call it a new take on Canadian winter blogging ;)

I had this idea in my head for a little while, makes it a little more personal and real. So I took these first photos in our living room, Stéphane and I moved stuff around and cleared the fake fire place, I decorated it with my collection of vintage cameras.

I am pretty happy with the lens, I may have to get use to it and read up a little more on how to get it to focus better with a remote or bother my man a little more and get him to take pictures of me.

I hope you enjoy the pics, things are changing a bit in these parts, I want to improve the photography on this blog and finally get those ideas out of my head and share. Have a great week everyone!

Cozy outfits for January

Since I am mostly stuck indoors these days, sitting in front of my computer coming up with make believe dream outfits is the
best remedy right now. These are cozy inspired outfits for all sorts of styles, my fave is the the cozy cool one, that sheep skin coat is perfect for here in Montreal, I need a pair of those tassel mittens so badly!

Cozy Cool

On Sunday I was able to get away with shooting outside for a few minutes, it was still pretty cold but this sweater kept me pretty warm, now all I need is a warm cozy thing for my camera. This sweater reminds me of one I use to borrow from my mother when I was a kid and go ice skating in the park by myself. My outfits for the past few weeks have been pretty cozy and cool like this one minus the pretty shoes and replaced with my trusty Cougar's, Iv'e been watching a lot of French films and got inspired by the color palettes and the simple but yet chic vibe I get from French actresses. They have this quality that is silent but so elegant in the way they dress, that is one of my resolutions for the new year, to dress simple but with a flare of my personality instead of crazy prints mixed up all the time.

I am in love with these red lace up platforms I got super on sale at UO last week, too bad I can't really wear them outside till the end of Winter but I have a feeling I will be wearing them a lot in outfit post's they seem to compliment all sorts of color combos.

I have a pretty busy week ahead of me, work is pilling up but I don't let it get to me, I already can't wait for the weekend! I am not a huge fan of January, it gets really cold here and I tend to hibernate and not leave my nest, how do you cope with the Winter blues?

Cozy Indoors

I was toying around with my camera the other day and had fun with the bright natural sunlight in my kitchen. The really white ones were an experiment but I really like the effect I got. This outfit is a pretty simple, just jeans and a tee, I usually play with color and patterns, like the black and white stripes of the tee shirt and the turquoise eye liner and nails. Simple but fun and perfect for those really cold Winter days here in Montreal.

I may have to use this backdrop for the rest of the Winter months since the cold temperatures are no good for my camera, it tends to not focus when it gets too cold. I am pretty excited to get a new lens for my camera next week, a 35mm, can't wait to shoot with it.

I had a pretty romantic New Years eve, taking it easy with Stéphane, we had some yummy Indian food and coffee downtown, had Moût de Pomme at midnight (since we both do not drink booze) , I can't wait till this Summer so many lovely things to come! How was your New Years eve?

I haven't posted an Instagram pictorial in a while, things got a little hectic in these parts, I found time in the mornings now to update, then I am off to work! This is a mix of pictures from the last few weeks, I went on a very successful thrifting adventure with my mom as you can see our shopping cart was full of goodies! I had to leave the big white fur coat behind, too bad it was 100$ and way to big for me and also really heavy,

Stéphane gave me this lovely nail polish in my Christmas stocking, I love this turquoise shade so much, we enjoyed macaroons for breakfast on Christmas morning and I was packaging last minute orders for my Etsy shop.

Here are a few shots of me coming and going from and to work, Stéphane had to come pick me up one day cause I was not feeling very good. My mom gave me the black and white leggings seen in the last photo, for Christmas, I was not sure at first but they grew on me.

Stéphane and I went downtown to seek out some last sales but had no luck, he had more luck in the local record shops.

I scored these shoes at the UO on St-Denis for 50% of 50%, I can't wait to style them with outfits!

Our kitty Paushaï was a happy kitty rolling on the floor sleeping under the heater and I watched Gremlins 1 my fave x-mas movie.

Looking back on 2011

I don't think I had any resolutions really last year, I usually come up with some before the year is over or during the new year itself. This year I decided to start working out at least 5 times a week for 20 to 30 minutes a day, so far so good. I had a wonderful year, the biggest most wonderful thing is that Stéphane proposed to me and we got engaged back in May. He asked me on one of our New York trips, it was very romantic. We have so much to plan but we are very exited to tie the knot after being together for 4 years.

The Spring and Summer was lovely, many bike rides were taken and lost of hang outs with friends and Stéphane. We traveled to Toronto and New York, I visited my father in Nova-Scotia for a week and reconnected with him. We also took an other trip to New York City with my Mom and her man and had loads of fun and connected with them.

I finally got around to launching a few of my own designs in my Etsy shop, my favorite was the "Bord de la mer" dress, I am thinking of bringing it back for Spring in a printed version with Eiffel tours and polka dots in a
lovely pastel mint color. Oh how I miss Summer! bare legs and fancy free!

I flew again to Toronto to meet up with some fellow Canadian bloggers, I met a lot of inspiring people and it pushed me to put more effort into this blog. When I first started out with the blog I was mostly sharing outfit posts but I think it is beginning to change into something more me, I want to start blogging about how to style your vintage pieces and what inspires me. I am also trying to write more and beginning to really like it, I was never really into writing before. I went to French school my whole life and was never really comfortable with writing in my mother tongue, maybe because I changed so many schools when I was a kid and grew up a little all over the place. When I was a kid everyone spoke English to me and I just learned from there I guess. But I am blessed to know two languages, it has really come in handy many times in my life.

Stéphane and I don't really have big plans for NYE but we plan on having a mini engagement party/diner on Saturday to celebrate our engagement and appreciate each other and this beautiful journey we are about to embark on :)

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Montreal has become a Winter wonderland over night, the wind is blowing the temperatures are dropping and my coat collection is getting a pretty heavy rotation lately. I thrifted this cape years ago now, I can only wear it when it's cold outside but not too cold. All you Canadian readers will understand what I mean, on a day like today when it's -30 degrees Celsius with the windshield factor you wear anything so you won't freeze. Alas being stylish on those horridly cold Winter days becomes a big challenge for the Canadian blogger.

When I do go out on the really cold days my uniform tends towards skinny jeans, layered tights, chunky knit sweaters, a big woolly toque, chunky knit scarf with Wool knee socks and more socks! This year I opted for colorful skinny jeans so I would have the option of color on my legs instead of always wearing a black coat, black boots and black jeans and feeling the heaviness of the cold grey days for the next 3 months.

I got these boots super on sale at the end of last season, I am so happy to have them this year they give me a break from big chunky Winter boots. I was wondering how are all you Canadian bloggers dealing with the intense cold? Do you blog less? Do you blog more inside? How do you get creative in these cold times?

My next post will be about my favorite outfits of 2010, I wanted to do this last year but never got around to it now is the time yay!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, we got some snow for Christmas and some cold weather, today was a little milder. I took it pretty easy this year, hung out with Stéphane and our cat. We watched "Les douzes travaux D'astérix", Stéphane's favorite movie from his childhood.

I was feeling a little icky all weekend and that explains the lack of posting, I feel much better today, I got dressed up all fancy and went shopping for my Vintage shop. The metro was empty and not many people were out thrifting today.

I came across this dress last year around this time actually, I was not so sure if I wanted to hold on to it but Stéphane convinced me to keep it, the best part is that the sleeves have zippers on the hem. A girl always needs a little sparkle dress in her wardrobe right?

This coat has been on this blog a few times, I never get tired of it, I bid like crazy for it online and was so happy when I did win it. I got it from this lovely Ebay shop called Thriftwares, they actually have a pretty cute cropped fur coat on there right now here. Well pretty soon we will be in a new year and sure am looking forward to it, so many great things are happening and I cannot wait!

Layered it up! baby it's cold outside!

I have been wanting to wear this skirt for a few weeks now, yesterday was so frigid so I was able to, it was my favorite thrift find from last Winter, a Comme des garçons Mohair plaid circle skirt, I could not ask for a better layering piece and did I say really warm?

I went thrifting for the shop yesterday with my mom, we found so much good stuff, I can't wait to update my shop next week with all the new stuff I found. My favorites have to be this purse I borrowed for my outfit, all leather, made in Australia the tag reads Oroton of Australia and a vintage 80s Céline Silk clover novelty printed skirt. The bag looks like it's made of high quality leather, it also comes with the matching strap if you don't want to carry it in your hand. Do any of my Australian readers know about this brand?

This blue sweater has become my favorite this Winter, the neck line is rounded and perfect for layering with collared shirts. Not bad for 10$ in New York City?

The toque was bought recently at my secret bazaar, people donate there old wool and retired folks knit things up with it and the money goes to the homeless here in Montreal.

Well this may be my last outfit post before Christmas, I have a busy week ahead of me, work, work, work that is what I do all the time! If I don't post till then I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

WHAT, a busy week I have been having, the days are so short by the time I get home from work it's already dark out and to late to take outfit post pictures. I ventured out today in the very cold temperatures
we have been having here in Montreal. It was perfect weather to wear my newly thrifted 60s coat, I have been on the lookout for one for quite some time now and for a great price 5$! The dress I have worn before on my blog, I think last time I wore it was last Winter, I found it in the back of my closet screaming to be worn. I love how the skirt always looks like it is in movement.

Stéphane and I are getting ready to Christmas, doing last minute shopping and attending work parties, we are planning to spend Christmas eve just the two of us with our kitty and dinning at our favorite Indian food place downtown. Then off to my mothers for Christmas lunch. This Christmas is not gift focused but more focused on us as a engaged couple, this is our last one before we tie the knot in July. What do you guys have planned for Christmas this year?

Well most you know that here in Montreal it gets cold and nasty out and we cannot wear cute little shoes all year long and little cardigans. We have to face the fact that heavy Winter boots that keep your feet warm and toasty are a must and a nice warm coat will be your best friend for the next 3 months. I came up with these 3 comfy but chic Winter outfits from my Polyvore. I hope this gives you Canadian ladies some inspiration, every year this is a big challenge for me, I tend to hibernate and not come out till mid March or early April, skinny jeans and sweaters are what I usually wear, I usually have a light blouse or tee shirt underneath in case I decide to go shopping or hang out with friends since some places are really warm and layers are the best thing to wear.
I have a question for all you Canadian bloggers out there, how do you cope with not taking pictures outside, do you have favorite spots inside somewhere or do you shoot less in Winter?

My Week in Instagram!

Well last week was very productive I hung out with my mom and hit some local bazaars and church sales, we both scored a lot. My mom got this recycled fur coat for 5$ and a men's vintage hat for 2$, I found a few great things for the shop and myself. We hit up a local cafe and ate some delicious red velvet cupcakes. Ever since my last trip to NYC I have been hooked!

My favorite bazaar was the first one I got so much stuff for 22$ including 2 Winter coats, myriads of blouses, sweaters and cardigans.

On my way back home I witnessed a cos play Japanese photo shoot in the metro, very random and unexpected, gotta love the Montreal metro!

On the weekend we put up our tree and started to Watch Melrose place, Stéphane and I are now hooked,hehe.

Our cat Paushaï is loving that the heaters are always on, she likes to sleep under the heater, cats are so funny!

Well the week started off very busy, I shot my friend Kate all day for my Etsy shop, I am really happy with the photos. I get to practice my photography and learn how to use indoor studio lighting. Stéphane took these pictures of me yesterday, we found this park right in the middle of downtown it was the perfect setting. I was going for a "Barefoot in the park" vibe, this movie I watched on the weekend with Jane Fonda. I really liked it, the perfect Saturday night movie to snuggle up to with your better half .

Well the week started off very well and ended well, things are looking up and plans for the future are moving along quite nicely. I watched loads of episodes of Melrose Place but forgot to take a pic of the screen, funny thing actually I was watching an episode were one of the girls was wearing a Betsey Johnson lace dress and bolero I actually have the same but in white that I purchased at Citizen vintage when they first opened, how random is that? I also got around to watching a few episodes of That Girl and Stéphane and I watched Barefoot in the park with Jane Fonda.

I attended the Worn Magazine launch last Friday at Citizen Vintage I had a great time with friends and the lovely ladies that own Citizen Vintage, I was really digging Rebecca's new hair doo and vintage specs. I got a chance to see Supayana's baby line on sale now at Smart Design mart this weekend, isn't it so cute?

Stéphane got a hair trim and we took a stroll in a part of town we rarely go to and noticed all these new buildings and had lunch at a new Commensal on St-Catherine's street. Commensal is a vegetarian buffet that is way over priced but very yummy :)

At the BANQ we checked out a mini expo on fashion history, I really liked the repro dresses made of paper.

I hung out with my friend Kate on a very cold Thursday evening, I felt bad that she had to bike home.

Yesterday evening me and Stéphane met at the library and then went record shopping at Beatnick a local record store here in Montreal it is one of Stéphane's favorite places to go in the city. I got myself a cute red dress at UO with little white dogs on it and got two books on Juliette Greco :)

Things are really looking up today, I feel like a new women. I took these pictures myself yesterday really quickly, my favorite shot is the last one with the wiener dog strolling in the background, I have a soft spot for wiener dogs ;)

It's still rainy here but not so cold I can still get away with cute shoes and booties, lets hope it last for the rest of the month. This outfit was put together very fast but I really like these colors together mixed in with one of my favorite vintage blouses, the print is little birds. There is a ruffle bib that comes with the blouse that you can remove, so smart! It also comes with a ribbon to tie a bow around the collar, this design is perfect I wish more clothing was made like this now a days. The boots I am wearing in are also one of my favorites, they are falling apart but I won't let them go, nothing a little shoes goo can't fix right?

The days sure are turning grey around these parts, it is getting harder to shoot outdoors. The snow we got last week melted away already, it's a pretty warm November so far. I wonder if it's the same in other parts of the world. How's the month going so far weather wise in your city?

I kind of had a weird weekend, especially Friday, you gotta take the good and make it your own it seams. I am going trough a big transitional period in my life, things keep changing and I keep questioning what I plan on doing for the years coming ahead. It felt great to take a walk in my neighborhood and take in all the fresh air I can while it's still mild outside.

I stubbed across this old barber shop, they have an amazing taxidermy window display and a great selection of random razors. They have some pretty amazing 70s wall paper on the walls and big orange chairs. This place would be perfect for a shoot someday. All pictures by me :) Enjoy!

I woke up to a Winter wonderland this morning, it was like waking up on Christmas morning as a kid. I got to test out my new Winter boots that came in the mail back in August courtesy of Cougar boots. These boots are perfect for this climate, stylish, vintage inspired and did I say warm? They are actually remakes of a popular style in 70s in Canada, they were the it boot back then, I say these are the It boot of now! Good bye wet cold feet, these babies will trek trough any kind of Canadian weather. Tonight I am putting my Christmas tree up and watching Gremlins I, I am not a big fan of Winter but the first snow is just so lovely. It brings me back to those good old days.

New Designs in the shop!

I am so happy to finally show you all the fruits of my efforts, I know it's a bit late in the season but I had to make a few Winter items before I embark on my Spring /Summer mini collection. I have been sitting on ideas for way to long. These few pieces that I made are just the beginning I promise. I am working on a skirt to finish up this little Winter colllection. I give you the "Bonjour Tristesse Dress" and "Jolie Môme Peter Pan Collar", two pieces that make a set or can be worn alone. Both of these pieces are available in my shop here. The dress is cut in an empire style with gathers around the waist line and added volume on the bottom, princess seams with short puff sleeves. The perfect little black dress for Fall/Winter. The collar is a fun piece, I love these two together they personify my muse that is Juliette Greco a French Singer from the 50s and 60s. She was dark and mysterious and had an amazing sense of style. This is the song that inspired me to design this dress. I hope you all enjoy these two pieces as much I did making them for you :)

Well it sure has been an interesting week, things are moving along quite well with my designs, the velvet dress and peter pan collar will be up in my shop by late evening tomorrow or early Monday morning. I will have two sizes available for the dress instead of one! yay!

I met up with my mom on Thursday we had a fun time at Forever 21 and she got me a really cute pair of cream and sparkly oxfords. Isn't my my mom cute? I really liked what the manny was wearing in this picture, makes me want to make a circle skirt.

The metro was jam pack all week as usual making it hot and sweaty, I always travel in layers so I can take them off when needed. We really need air conditioning in the new ones we are suppose to get in a the next 10 years. I found an old fishbowl bus hiding in the area were I go buy my fabrics, takes me back to the good old days,hehe.

I worked like a mad women with my friend Kate on stuff for the Isabelle Hayes/yeye line, I fell in love with an Eiffel tour polka dot print for my Spring/Summer 2012/13 mini collection, it is going to be so cute!

I received some amazing tights from Tights Please an online store with an amazing variety, I have an extra pair that I will be giving away later this week on my blog so keep an eye out for that too!

I made my very first batch of red velvet cupcakes, Stéphane really liked them, I need to make more, Friday we snacked on some yummy macaroons on St-Denis street and had a bagel sandwich at Montreal's famous St-Viateur bagels.

It snowed a tiny bit, signs of Winter are approaching very quickly, looks like it's almost time to but my pretty shoes away for the Winter, booo!

While browsing trough Citizen Vintage is tumblr yesterday evening I came across a picture of a black dress with a white peter pan collar and bright red platform pumps by Ulyana Sergeenko, a Russian designer whom I never herd of. I was blown away by the vintage inspired looks she created for Fall/Winter 2011/12. The backdrop for the shoot is yet so simple and sweet but sets the perfect mood for these looks. I am more of a fan of the shorter looks because I feel like more people would wear them, but I love the super maxi looks she created especially the long flowing turquoise number with the black scarf on the models head, almost like a Russian princess ready to take a walk in the woods for a secret rendez-vous, ooolala!

I had a little bit of fun with my Polyvore this morning before heading out to work, I have been lusting for a red

coat for a few years now, I just can't find the right one for some reason. They had a great selection on Polyvore including a red cape in the first set. Coats are so important here in Montreal because half of the year is cold and depressing. If only I was not allergic to Wool I would whip my self one up in a second!

Yesterday was quite a warm November day, the sun was out and the air was mild, perfect photography weather. I just adore this dress I picked up at the Vintage Mart sale a week ago, it kind of reminds me of a band outfit dress but at the same time it reminds me of something "That Girl" would have worn and that is something I love! I borrowed this amazing hat from my shop, I found it completed this look perfectly. Well I better get back to work, I am still working on that black crushed velvet dress I promise it will be done soon and available in my shop in the next couple of weeks, so excited!

Here are this week's Instagram snap shots, I just love how I can share my view on the world week to week with this little contraption called and Ipod. I kind of have themes going on with each block this week, outfits, fruits and cakes, Vintage Mart, shoes and miscellaneous stuff I came across. I really like the shot of me and banjo man in the tunnel I cross every time I go to work, people were starring at me and wondering what the hell I was doing, hehe. I got to wear my knit collar from Tara-Lynn of Good Night Day, it was perfect for this time of year and goes so well with my suede jacket :) Sometimes I feel like a spy in this city with my trusty mini camera in my pocket.

I want one of these cat cakes for my next birthday, they scream my name, all of them are from Harmony Bakery in China Town.

Cheap Opulence Vintage

I came face to face with a college student strike, later in the day the radio said there was a mile long line of students blocking the whole downtown area. I had to take the craziest metro ride of the week stuffed like sardines in a metro full of strikers.

I think I need these Jeffrey Campbell heels with bows :)

I took these pictures very early yesterday morning, trying to beat the early Fall sunset and rain storm that was coming later in the day. I came up with this outfit using a few pieces that are in my Etsy shop, the skirt and the red peter pan collar blouse. I love the print on this skirt, it is love birds with paisley circles of some sort, it went perfectly with my 70s vibe. I have been digging red accents lately maybe because it looks so great with black hair, I find it so hard to find colors that won't drown my face in this long black hair of mine. I picked up the cable knit clutch purse not to long ago on one of my thrifting excursions I was so happy to find such a unique piece for almost nothing, I find it quite unique and spot on for this season. Well of to work I go, have a lovely Friday everyone!

I took these pictures very quickly yesterday evening, I rushed home from work praying that the sun would not set, I kind of like the mood of these shots, dark, moody and a touch of mystery. This is what Montreal in Fall is all about, early sun rises and early sunsets. It was maybe 5 in the after noon when I took these. 10 minutes later it was pitch black outside. It is a constant battle in the Fall/Winter months for me to take pictures outdoors. But this is were I live and I love the mood of the city this time of year. Dark moody and mysterious a bit like how I have been feeling, but in a good way :)

Inspirations and what I have been working on

After a couple of weeks of working hard and putting my design thinking cap on I finally came out with 2 new lovely pieces by yours truly inspired by my muse for this mini collection, Juliette Greco. I will be adding a new crushed velvet mini dress called " Bonjour Tristesse dress" cut in an empire waist style with rounded neck line, full skirt and short sleeves with a little but of gathering on the shoulders. It drapes so nicely and is the perfect little black dress for Fall/Winter 2011. I was playing around with the idea of a lace peter pan collar that would be applied on to the dress but that was not working with my vision so I came up with a PVC pearl peter pan collar called "The Jolie Môme", with silk cord and silver tips. I love how it can be worn with the dress or without, they are two pieces that complete each other but look great on there own. I hope you enjoy these pieces I have hand made with love and attention to detail.

*Vintage Mart!

Yesterday I went to a lovely event here in Montreal called Vintage Mart, a sister event to the amazing Smart Design mart yearly event organized by Angie Johnson and friends. The event was perfectly curated with vintage goodies from Cheap Opulence Vintage, Supayana Vintage, Caesar Pony Vintage and a few more. When you walked in it was like being in a cozy little vintage shop even if the event was held in an industrial building away from St-Laurent street but not very far, it was was well worth the detour. Cupcakes, wine and a big punch bowl for all and lovely people all around. These lovely people sure know how to organize an event, I was very impressed. I ended up picking up the lovely 60s dress in the last photo from Ceasar Pony and a hot pink ballerina peplum blouse from Cheap Opulence Vintage. I hope they do more of these events it was such a pleasure!

The week in Instagram!

An other week just went by and sure was it fun! I worked on a new dress at the beginning of the week, it is made of black crushed velvet with a lace collar, I am not sure anymore if I want to add sleeves or not. I guess I will see on Monday. I am pretty happy with the look of it so far, an an other note I will be making a small, medium and large so many of you can fit into my garments. Things are moving along quite well and I feel more and more confident everyday now :)

I worked with my friend Kate earlier this week, isn't she so cute? I got that silly Cat pint App earlier this week, the Sphinx cats with lazer eyes are my favorite so far.

We had a pretty fun at home Halloween, we watched the black scorpion a black and white movie from the 50s and took a walk in out neighborhood to check out the decorations, my favorite was the cat pumpkin :) Have a great weekend and week folks more to come next Saturday!

It's raining today but just a little, I am really loving this weather. Maybe not the weather in my apartment, it's like Summer indoors my landlord controls the heating, the good side is that we do not freeze!

I really liked my outfit today, my favorite part is the proportion of the skirt and the sweater, it was in my shop for a little while and finally I decided I would keep it. It's so comfy and fuzzy whats not to love? At work people really liked my hat, a gift from the lovely ladies at Citizen Vintage a local shop in the Mile End area. Well folks, it has been a pleasant day off this Saturday, perfect for a bright colorful outfit, the sun is shinning here in Montreal and it's so beautiful. The colors of the trees and the color of the sky, a pretty steal blue. We took these pictures in the core of Montreal's downtown area. This is almost in the middle of a very busy street cars and bikes go along. Everybody around us was wondering what me and Stéphane were up to in the middle of the street like this. We work well together I think, he knows how to make my visions a reality when I can't use my remote and tripod.

I hope you are all having a nice weekend, I heard that some of you in New York and Pennsylvania had been getting snow already? I am so glad it is not coming to Montreal for once.

The week in Instagram Mega Post!

Last Saturday I did not get a chance to post my regular week in Instagram photos since I was in New York city for the weekend, so this week I have combined last weeks pics with this weeks into a mega week in Instagram post. In New York city we walked around Manhattan a lot with my mother and mister D taking pictures of random things you can find there. My favorite snap shot is the " Psychic Reading" neon sign has anyone ever been inside one of these places? I had my fair share of red velvet cupcakes my fav food when I come to New York. Next time I want to visit the Magnolia bakery and taste their red velvet if they have. We visited the Marimeko store in downtown Manhattan, the colors in this store were amazing and the prints are to die for. If only I had a 1000$ to spend there, maybe next time ;)

I got a cute cat print dress at Forever 21 and some colorful socks on St-Marks street

I found this bank statement on the floor at Chase bank, I sure wish this was my bank account!

Back home I went fabric shopping for some velvet for a dress idea I have and came across some pretty interesting dead stock fabrics and collar tips.

I picked up these moccasins in Brooklyn at the Buffalo exchange they are made by JCrew and they are ever so comfy.

I had an idea for a layering piece to go with my stretch lace cropped tee, using vintage silk blouse both of these tops will be in my shop as of Monday I am so excited to put these out, the lace tops are so cute and comfy and go with pretty much anything, I tried a new hair style with pic tails and a bump on the top of my head and loved it :)

Stéphane picked up a bunch of amazing Lp's and got me this rare Lee Hazelwood record, it is so good!

We ended the week at a Mexican restaurant and sipped on virgin margarita's and ate tasty nachos :)

My Mom and Me in Brooklyn

Here are those pictures I was talking about in my last post about my New York City trip last weekend. My mom's been hounding me to put them up, I hope she likes them ;) Stéphane took these shots while we were waiting outside of Beacon's Closet to do some serious vintage buying and trading. I really like how the pictures turned out. So this is my little stylish mom, she is the one that brought vintage and thrifting into my life, I hated it when I was a kid but today it is part of who I am and I am proud of it :)

I ended up bringing a ton of stuff with me to sell and then take the trade and buy a ton of stuff there but alas nothing tickled my fancy this time around. I guess this place is hit or miss, or maybe I am just to picky since I already have so much vintage clothing at home. All and all I had a great time with my mom and Stéphane I ended up finding a pretty dress at Buffalo Exchange, my mom found a bunch of great things, you guys should check out her own style blog called Montreal-Style Sud Est, she comes up with some pretty original looks for ladies over 50. I was wearing a vintage Balenciaga silk blouse from Fringues&Cie, vintage leather jacket from Local 23, vintage cardigan,AA leggins, Shades from Sunglasse stand on St-Marks street, vintage cowboy boots(gift from Stéphane) and vintage Alfred Shung backpack.

Lula number 13 inside peek

While in New York city on the weekend, I picked up the latest issue of Lula and I was so happy to find it! I heard rumors online that it was out and my search ended in Brooklyn at some cheap convenience store on Bedford Ave, the man that sold it to me said " every body wants this one why? "I chuckled inside and said thank you :)
I waited till I was home to read and browse trough the amazing shoots that are inside, I love taking my time reading this magazine, it only comes out twice a year and I am always hunting it down here in Montreal. My favorite spread was the "Magical Mystery Tour" shoot, the colors and the personality of the model were amazing and of course the styling. No other mag styles like this one. It is unique in it's own way and that is why I love this magazine to pieces. I have all of them since they first came out, I love how they look like a mini collection of pretty books on my book shelve.

Party of four in NYC part 1

What a jam packed weekend! My mother her mister D, Stéphane and I hit the road early Friday morning, 5 am to be more exact and headed south to New York City for the weekend. We stayed at our favorite hotel in Manhattan called hotel 17 on 17th and 3rd Ave, they actually filmed parts of a Woody Allen movie there called Manhattan murder mystery. We did so much in the little time we were there, walked all over Manhattan, vintage shopped in Brooklyn, Beacon's closet, Buffalo Exchange and this place on Bedford street that I don't remember the name but everything is dirt cheap. I did not get much since I am pretty picky, I got a canary yellow crochet 60s mini dress, JCrew suede fringe mocassins, and grey wool pea coat and a few little things here and there. I did find a copy of Lula in Brooklyn I was so happy! I will post more pictures of me and mother goofing around in Brooklyn later this week, enjoy these snap shots in the meantime :)

Isn't Montreal so beautiful in Autumn? I hold on to pieces of vintage clothing just for this time of year, like this vintage Missoni maxi skirt. My mother actually came across is for me when we were thrifting together in the Summer time. I squealed when I first saw it. The cut is magnificent and the fabric feel so luxurious. Today was the perfect day to take it out of my closet. I paired it with my favorite Chambray blouse and navy velvet blazer. I am so busy today, working on yet an other top, I am on a design high right now, I keep getting ideas and keep sketching and sketching, finally my creative juices are back. I am off to some fabric and trim shops to find what I need and more pattern drafting paper, I am out and I need to draft the back of a top pronto! I am so excited for the weekend, loads of fun ahead!

I love these shorts to pieces! The color is spot on and the fit is perfect, thank you Cheap Opulence Vintage! I actually wore these twice this week. The weather has been quite warm too so it really helps when comes time to being stylish, hehe. I am in awe over these tights by Emilio Cavallini, they really know how to make tights and the quality is amazing, I have some of their tights still going strong from a few seasons ago. This whole outfit made me happy, the pattern mixing and the colors are so different but I think they all work well together. Well I better get back to my design work, I made a schedule and I am sticking to it, because in design if you want to get something done time management is key!

The week in Instagram!

Welcome to an other week in Instagram post, I love how quick and easy it is to share quick snap shots of what I did during the week. This first set is from when we went to NDG to check out the park and some thrift and records. I found a few things but Stéphane had no luck in the record search. We had a tasty snack at Dad's bagels, I use to live off of this place when I have my very first apartment
.

This set is a mix of what I wore during the week, my favorite outfit was the one with the blue suede shorts I got from Cheap Opulence vintage. My engagement ring is finally sized and will be on my finger next weekend when we hit NYC yet again this year yay! I am so in love with this vintage Varcity jacket at Annex Vintage, I just wish it was a tad smaller.

My friend Sam gave me this yummy raspberry pastry for hemming a skirt for her, I took my new lens out and took tons of pictures.

Later in the week, I went to get my nails done with my best buddy Sarah from Cheap Opulence Vintage and we had coffees and great girlz times :)

The rest of the week was pretty relaxed I sketched ideas out for that velvet dress I want to make, I decided to also make a skirt version of the dress and a cropped lace top in black stretch lace. I watched plenty of Gossip girl my latest tv obsession and drank lots of tea! That's it for this week folks, today is Stéphane's birthday and I am gonna go make him a cake now.

Autumn colors

Well it was pretty warm over the weekend, no jacket was required, it was the perfect day for layering and my fabulous 60s boots. I got these a few years ago in Toronto at the Kensington market for dirt cheap because they are pretty small and narrow, lucky me that's my size. We walked around the plateau area and checked out the pumpkin stand by the metro, I loved all the colors and textures. Since it was pretty sunny I did not get any decent outfit pictures only detail ones we had to finish the photo shoot in my favorite alley way. I made apple crumble and we cooked a bird with mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus for our Canadian Thanks Giving diner. Today was quite a productive day, I got into design mode and I am happy to say that things are moving along very well. I am working on a circle skirt idea and then moving on to a pretty velvet Fall/Winter dress, I can't wait to have something to show you guys, very soon I promise!

It's A Heat Wave on Thanks Giving!

It sure has been a busy weekend! I did not stop for one instant today, Stéphane took pictures of my outfit with my new 50mm lens and I adore it. We shot new vintage items to go in the shop this week, I have so many pretty Fall/Winter stuff to put in the shop. This outfit just makes me happy, orange and pink have always been one of my favorite color mixes, the suede circle skirt is from Cheap Opulence Vintage here in Montreal, I adore the movement and the bold color of this skirt. I am also wearing one of my cream lace collars, I think I may need to get more of this lace and sell them again. I guess I just have not been to sure about them but seeing them like this makes me want to make more! I paired the skirt with this bright orange mini dress from Forever 21 that I wear all the time, it's perfect on it's own or mixed with skirts. The dance shoes are also new I found them at the Sally Ann in NDG, they are so comfy and go with almost anything since they are nude. I love how the leather is so soft. Too all you Canadians readers I hope you are all having an amazing Thanks Giving!

Well it was a nice week! I attended a really cool event with my mum, at this local charity shop called Fringues & Cie, they are in the YWCA building downtown. They were selling designers goods for nothing over 50$ My mum scored a beautiful Anna Sui dress and I found a silk Balenciaga blouse. You can see more pictures from the event on my mum's lovely blog Called Style Montreal Sud-Est. I finally received my new Nikon lens, so now I can take even better pictures for the blog, I can't wait to test it out today. I added some vintage hats in my Etsy shop, my favorite is a Seal Skin brown floppy hat with satin bow trim. Yesterday Stéphane took me out to diner in Chinatown and we went to our favorite Pho place, then went to Harmony bakery for tasty pasties! Today I was inspired by this blue Wool pull over I picked up at Cheap Opulence Vintage, my friend Sarah runs it here in Montreal at events and online in her Etsy shop. She has the most amazing stuff, it's incredible, you must keep a look out for her shop or attend any of the many local vintage sales she does here in Montreal. She is by far the sweetest girl you will ever meet I swear! I picked up a few other amazing pieces that will be shown on the blog in the next few weeks.

I took these photos early this morning, the sun was out and there was a brisk wind, the pull over was perfect for this type of weather. I like the cut of it paired with something form fitting underneath and the Ferragamoe's give the look a touch of French chic. Style Inspirations : Serge & Jane

When I first found out about Jane Birkin it was trough her music, my mother gave me an album to listen to and the first song was Ex fan des sixties, written by Serge Gainsbourg. Then I realized that not only did I love the music these two made together but their flare for style. I love Serge's is simple laid back elegant style and Jane's 60s cool free flowing blouses, simple white tees, dark velvet dresses and flared jeans. It is hard for me to pin point what I love about these two together, they were so in love and of the moment, these photographs really reflect that love.

The week in Instagram!

The week started off pretty slow but I got a lot done, I went thrifting and found some pretty amazing stuff, like a dead stock white shirt for men from the 60s for Stéphane for our wedding. Later in the week I visited my top secret church sale and found a ton of new vintage items for the shop. I reworked a Girl Guides dress I thrifted in Halifax, my friend Sarah who run's Cheap Opulence gave me the amazing pink suede circle skirt and and peacock blue suede shorts, they will be photographed and in outfit posts very soon. It's been a few days since I last did an outfit post, I have been pretty busy and sick, I feel much better now, I decided to put on a fun outfit to bring up my spirits. I got this dress at Annex Vintage a local vintage shop here in Montreal and fell in love with the skirt of this dress. It reminds me of a funner version of a dress I saw online the other day. I really am not afraid to be bold in my everyday dress, it's about how you wear it and with the right attitude am so bored with all these nude colors and mixes of neutrals, but that's just me. I am in love with this leather jacket, its fitted, black and has amazing zipper details on the sleeves and the back. Don't you just love finding expectantly that one vintage piece you have been longing for when you least expect it? I sure do :) Well I am off to work now, have a nice day everyone!

The week in Instagram!

I have been pretty obsessed with Instagram lately, it's like a mini flickr in the palm of my hands at all times. Snap here snap there. I like the idea of daily snap shots of things I live and see everyday. So I decided to do The week in Instagram every Saturday morning showcasing pictures from my week. I hope you all enjoy!

This week was the arrival of my vintage wedding rings in the mail and of my wedding dress that is so superb but I will not be posting pictures of it till we make the big leap that is wedlock. I won two Shirelle's Lps on ebay for 35$ including shipping and thrifted a vintage leather Longchamp back pack for 5.99$. I have been wearing it everyday now. Fall is gently starting to show in Montreal as you can see and this weekend is Puces Pop I am so glad to have my good friend Tara-Lynn in town of Good day, night selling her amazing knits! All you locals should come and check it out.

Addition Elle Styling Event!

I am so glad to be doing this post today, I got the thumbs up to share with you all about my lovely Sunday after noon adventure in Toronto almost a month ago now. The lovely people at Addition Elle put together a styling event featuring some of my fellow Canadian bloggers from all parts of Ontario and two of us from Montreal including Robyn of Fashionista 514. You can go vote now on the Addition Elle Facebook page for your favorite looks and enter to win a 150$ shopping gift card. So our job was to style two looks with Addition Elle clothing and some clothing from a new Line Called Michel Studio that was not sold in stores yet. I scanned the store top to bottom and came up with two looks with a French 70s vibe, I am really into color blocking at the moment so that was a big part of the looks. I really like how it all came together, the colors, textures with different fabrics like knits and faux leather. My model made my job so easy, she looked good in anything I put on her and she was so sweet and fun. I had such a great time with all the other bloggers everyone was so sweet and nice. I was so sad when I had leave to catch my flight back home.

I am really glad that Matchstick and Addition Elle asked me to be a part of this amazing event, I met so many great people that inspired and moved me. I never had the chance to work with plus size models and I have to say it was so easy and fun to do, the possibilities are endless, you just have to have a little bit of confidence and the right attitude and voila! I believe that no matter what size you are you can be stylish and have fun with your clothing, the trick is in the way you wear it.

Hues of Pink

Yesterday was quite the busy day, I worked on some shop stuff, met up with an old friend who gave me a great pep talk and then got a hair trim. I decided to go back to my good old bangs, I tried the bangs on the side look for a while but this is my favorite.

Since it was a pretty early Fall day yesterday I had fun again with layering, I picked up these hot pink tights last week and was drawn to them instantly, I paired them with a velvet burgundy pair of overalls and a light pink peter pan collar blouse I thrifted over the weekend. I wanted to keep it for the shop but could not resist keeping it for myself. I like how the outfit came together I have been having fun playing with colors in the same hues lately I find it fun and unexpected.

Well better get back to work!

I woke up this morning in a freezing apartment, Fall is here and is not going no where and in no time it will already be Christmas. It was a nice and cold today a big 12 degree Celsius my new leather jacket came in quite handy and so did the many layers I used to make this outfit. The dress is from the 1930s I came across it a few years ago the back is my favorite part of it and the way the skirt flows. This blouse I have had forever and I never get sick of it, it has a print of little horses heads, the collar is also a vintage find for a big 99 cents many years ago. I like the double peter pan collar effect it gives with my blouse. I have a jam packed weekend ahead of me many great things are happening in my life right now! I got my wedding dress in the mail this morning and I am dying to try it on.

Well yesterday was a pretty productive day, I woke up way to early to go to a work meeting and then had to run home and update my etsy shop. I have a ton more stuff to put in there but so little time. There are just not enough hours in a day. The weather is still pretty warm here in Montreal I struggle to wear my new thrifted black biker style leather jacket I found in Sherbrooke last week. I guess I will have to wait a little while longer.

I picked up this body suit over the weekend at the new Lacoste store that opended on st-Catherine's street not to long ago. I really liked the Lacoste Live line, very colorful and slim fitting it screamed my name. So now onto the pants, some of you might be like skinny low waisted jeans? Well I am a lover of this silhouette for my body type, I tend to look wrong in high waisted pants they give me a big bump in the front and really do not flatter my derriere, low waisted hugs my curves in a better way I find. I have a thing for colored denim lately, you can mix and match them with so much, I picked up a turquoise pair and a pink pair, they will be on heavy rotation in my future blog post so stay tuned ! Now on to the shoes, these are like candy to me, when I first saw them at H&M I screamed inside with delight! They look great with colored tights, they resemble a pair of designer shoes I was drooling over in a magazine. Have a lovely day and enjoy the sunshine while it is still here.
